Sebastian Angulo Tamayo is a Manhattan-based Ecuadorian financier, philanthropist and the President and Chairman of SATCAP LLC. <\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sebastian founded SATCAP LLC, a U.S.-based multi-asset financial advisory firm with offices in New York and California in the U.S., and Quito in Ecuador. SATCAP LLC focuses on empowering its clients to control, grow and preserve their wealth. Serving as the President and Chairman of SATCAP LLC, Sebastian\u2019s responsibilities include directing diverse investments in real estate, private equity, public equities, fine art, fixed income derivatives, commodities, and alternative assets. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Throughout his professional life, Sebastian has successfully navigated the complex world of institutional family offices, demonstrating his expertise in financial management and investments. In a previous role Sebastian directed real estate investments across Europe for a specialized investment vehicle and in a separate position acted as international consultant, playing a pivotal role in the public listing of [NASDAQ: LSEA ] via a SPAC merger.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his role as Chairman and co-founder of Kranemaq S.A., he established strategic partnerships with multinational businesses to enable the construction of Ecuador\u2019s first metro system.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his early career, guided by his grandfather Oswaldo Tamayo Benalcazar \u2013 a respected businessman, industrialist and financier responsible for significant contributions to Ecuador\u2019s GDP in the second half of the 20th century who represented his country advocating for industrial interests at international conventions over a career spanning five decades \u2013 Sebastian demonstrated a natural affinity for global financial markets. Sebastian nurtured this interest in foreign relations, pursuing studies in International Affairs & Economics at The George Washington University, DC, and began his career in wealth management at BNP Paribas. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Sebastian\u2019s dedication to philanthropy stems from his late mother\u2019s legacy. Maria Cristina Tamayo inspired Sebastian to channel resources towards making a positive impact on society. <\/strong><\/p>\n

His philanthropic work for international NGOs and foundations includes hosting numerous events for UNICEF Next Generation in New York between 2015 and 2017; organizing a large-scale 2022 gala in Manhattan which raised half a million dollars to support displaced Ukrainians; and advising and financially supporting the construction of to.org\u2019s Bidi Bidi Performing Arts Centre in Africa\u2019s largest refugee settlement in northern Uganda.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mawa Zacharia Erezenio, a Bidi Bidi resident and social enterprise founder recently said about the Bidi Bidi Performing Arts Centre and his fellow refugees in a <\/em><\/strong>CNN interview<\/em><\/strong><\/a>: \u201cAll their dreams, all their passion has been destroyed during the war. If we get more support and more funding, we can make a lot of transformation.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Sebastian has also been a consistent supporter of charitable efforts in his home of Ecuador. As founder and president of the advisory board of Desafio Ecuador \u2013 an organization which rebuilt Ecuador\u2019s educational infrastructure after the devastating Earthquake in 2016 \u2013 Sebastian galvanized his network and channelled his personal resources to build the first eco-friendly school, constructed from bamboo. The school provided a support hub for over 500 families in one of the most damaged communities in Ecuador. <\/strong><\/p>\n

More recently, under his leadership as chairman of SATCAP LLC, Sebastian has established a strategic partnership with to.org \u2013 a platform that operates in venture capital, philanthropy, and the creative space \u2013 providing SATCAPs clients with the opportunity to participate in several philanthropic projects across the globe to help equalize the opportunities for those who are most vulnerable. In this capacity, Sebastian has been appointed the Latin America ambassador for to.org.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Beyond his professional and philanthropic achievements, Sebastian enjoys competitive equestrian sports having successfully represented Ecuador in various international competitions.
